TTBA: Submission Guidelines

ttba is currently seeking submission of fiction and art for subsequent issues. I intend to edit contributions where needed, in collaboration with the author. Contributors submitting at least 3 typeset pages (around 2000 words) will receive free copies, and there will be discounts for those submitting less than this.

ttba2 will come out in summer 2003; the copy deadline is 30 June 2003.

I would prefer to receive electronic copy by e-mail at ttba@fireflyuk.net (MS Word for Office 97, RTF or plain-text file); failing that, my postal address is given below. Please enclose an electronic copy on PC disk or CD-ROM with your submission. (I am unable to input contributions not available in a suitable electronic format.) If you would like your material returned, please enclose a postage-paid return envelope.

Fiction

I’m looking for well-written material that gives me something new, something surprising -- whether it be in characterisation, style, structure, metaphor, plot or background description. The Editorial to ttba Volume 1, as well as the contents themselves, give some further indication of my taste in fanfiction.

Essays/articles

I will also consider essays about fanfiction which focus on Blake's 7.

Art

I am also interested in submissions of art, preferably pen-and-ink or pencil, although I will also consider colour material. No nudes, please. I would prefer that submissions should illustrate the stories. Please contact me in advance for more details.

I am also looking for potential cover art.

I am happy to consider unsolicited art submissions by post, but if you would like your originals returned please enclose a postage-paid return envelope. Alternatively, I can accept electronic files on PC disk or CD-ROM and as e-mail attachments in various formats (including Photoshop, TIFF and JPEG).
